Specifics of Development and Implementation of Information Systems for Small and Medium-sized Entreprises

The thesis is devoted to researching the topic of the design and development of information systems for small and medium-sized businesses. The goal of the work is to develop an information system for an enterprise belonging to the category of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), based on the analysis of its characteristics. The first chapter contains an overview of the SME sector in Europe and Russia. Various information systems classifications are given, and characteristic features of SMEs are described. The impact of these features on the choice and implementation of information systems at SMEs is assessed. In the second chapter, the analysis of the enterprise is carried out: description of its structure, architecture, market position, business model, and key business processes is given. A separate chapter is devoted to the development of an information system under the company's requirements. The technical part of the system, the technologies used, and parameters such as speed, extensibility, and supportability are described. Finally, conclusions about the characteristics of the system in comparison with alternative solutions, as well as conclusions about the possible results of implementing the system at the enterprise are made. This work is of interest to entrepreneurs and managers of small and medium-sized companies, product managers, organizational development managers, IT-specialists, as well as other researchers on the topic of information systems implementation at SMEs.
