Ten years after the defeat in World War II, rapid economic growth began in Japan, which later became known as the Japanese economic miracle. However, it is necessary to realize that the formation of this economic system took place earlier. This work analyses the whole range of economic, political, social phenomena that took place on the territory of the Japanese archipelago in the late 40s and early 50s of the 20th century, and what impact these transformations had on the modern economic model of the Japanese state. Nevertheless, a comprehensive assessment of these phenomena has not yet been considered, and this work is aimed at filling this gap. We will collect primary and secondary data, conduct a qualitative and quantitative analysis to answer the task. The results of the work can be useful for a complete understanding of the emergence of a modern model of the Japanese economy.
