The rapid development of streaming services has already changed not only the consumer habits of users, but also the basic principles of film production. American film companies are forced to admit that the streaming giants are now a big competition for their business and are developing new strategies to win over viewers. This work analyzes the history and development of the American film industry and develops a forecast of the competition between film studios and streaming services by analyzing the cases of Warner brothers and Netflix. The regression analysis carried out in this work is aimed at finding a correlation between the number of active users of streaming services and the financial success of the main American film studios. Based on financial and investment reports of companies, various ratings, relevant statistics, and research by other authors, this work aims to examine the impact of the development of streaming services on the revenue and structure of American cinema. The results of the research can be applied in the process of choosing a strategy for the development of the film industry enterprise as well as for further academic work.
