Socio-economic Causes of Migration and its Impact on US Unemployment

The aim of this work is the identification of the causes of labor migration, as well as the study of the migration impact on unemployment and on various occupations. To study this problem, panel data from the mid-1980s will be taken, on the basis of which multiple regressions, based on three different analysis methods, will be built. The intended outcome of this study is the demonstration of a clear link between migration and the labor market, in particular unemployment.
