Limitation of Liability in Contract Law

Dissertation focuses on the limits of the autonomy of the will concerning with the possibility of exclusion or limitation of contractual liability. The mechanisms that prevent parties from entering into unfair terms are highlighted. The present work reveals the main problems in applying the provisions of paragraph 4 of article 401 and paragraph 2 of article 400 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The necessity of reforming the current regulation is justified.
