Auteur Cinematography as a Political Agent

The paper explores the possibilities of auteur cinema as an agent of political action and seeks the answer to the question of how exactly such an agency is manifested. The work reveals the concept of political agency and features of auteur cinema institution, which allow characterizing it as an agent with political potential. An empirical study is conducted using the example of 10 films made in Russia and Australia, selected according to certain criteria.
