Neil Gaiman is a well-known British writer whose work has been studied by linguists on numerous occasions. For example, research has been undertaken to study the representation of the phenomenon of death in his works, while the representation of the concept of life and its opposition to the concept of death is still insufficiently studied. The purpose of our research is to identify the means of verbalization of the concepts ‘life’ and ‘death’ based on the material of writer's works. In accordance with the mentioned goal, we set the following tasks: identification of language tools that represent these concepts; systematization of the identified tools; research of the language bases of the ‘life – death’ opposition. The results of this study correspond to the stated goals and objectives: after analyzing the discovered language tools, the main ways of representing the conceptual opposition ‘life - death’ in the works of Neil Gaiman were identified.
