Interaction Between the State and "The Ringing Cedars of Russia" Movement

Despite the fact that in recent years, scientists have paid much attention mostly to the problem of mass outflows from small settlements, the reverse movement of deurbanization and creating eco-settlements is also gaining momentum in Russia. However, the processes of resettlement of people from large cities to rural areas and the influence they create are being underestimated and understudied due to the lack of government interest and official statistics not reflecting the real situation. This study aims at studying a specific social movement “The Ringing Cedars of Russia”, whose members form a constant outflow of people from large cities to small or abandoned settlements, where they settle in the so-called "settlements of patrimonial estates". Special attention will be focused on their interaction with the state and society and on the impact on the development of the territories in which they settle. The method used is the combination of analyzing both primary and secondary data the understanding of movement`s participants` main characteristics will be developed and possible interaction elaboration vector will be outlined. This research is also going to use a content media analysis which will be carried out using media analytical database «Public.ru» Keywords: new religious movement, deurbanization, eco-settlements, local government, The Ringing Cedars of Russia, anastasians
