The course paper work was carried out on the topic: "Transfer of property of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to municipalities: problems and prospects." The aim of the work was to identify the main problems in the process of transferring military property to municipalities and to develop recommendations for improving this interaction. In order to achieve these goals, regulatory legal acts were studied, and the main problems faced by municipalities in the process of transferring property were reflected. The process of transfer of military property was analyzed in the municipalities of the Moscow and Kaliningrad regions, as well as in municipalities in various regions of the Far East. The analysis was carried out on the basis of media data, as well as diaries of observations of students participating in the student expedition "Rediscovering Russia" to the Kaliningrad region in 2019. As a result of the study, the main problems existing in the interaction of the municipal government and the Ministry of Defense in the issue of property transfer were reflected and recommendations for improving this interaction were given.
