This project presents the development of a multifunctional complex for newborn monitoring. Modern monitoring devices have limited functionality, which requires the constant parent involvement in the process of newborn monitoring. A new monitoring system approach will allow parents to trust smart devices more and, accordingly, have more free time. The system design includes a motion sensor, a microphone, a camera and an air temperature sensor, the information from which is processed by the central computer and transmitted to the web application. Access to the application is possible via Wi-Fi network, thereby, parents can control their child remotely. Moreover, if the system detects baby’s crying, parents are notified. In addition, the system can turn on the cradle swinging through the application. Thus, the baby monitoring system allows parents to focus on something else and reduces anxiety for the child due to the possibility of monitoring through the web application at any time.
