The Influence of the Anti-Consumerism’s Ideology on Lifestyles: the Case of Russia of the 21st Century

The work explores the development of consumerism and the emergence of the ideology of anti-consumerism in Russia. The research problem consists in identifying and studying the reasons why many Russians are not included to ethical consumption practices. A study of the causes and role of the state in strategies for incorporating these practices will also be examined in this study. The work consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. The first chapter is devoted to the study of the "consumer society". The second chapter is about the emergence of the ideology of anti-consumerism. The third chapter examines the development of consumerism and the emergence and spread of ethical consumption in Russia. Key words: consumerism, consumer society, anti-consumerism, ethical consumption.
