Repetition as the Impossibility of Repetition: Philosophy and Psychoanalysis

Title «Repetition as the impossibility of repetition: philosophy and psychoanalysis». Graduation qualification work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a bibliography. In the introduction the relevance of the chosen topic is justified, the extent of development of the problem is described, the object and subject of research are given, the methodology is given. In the first chapter «Repetition in human life and the philosophical analysis of repetition» the meaning of the concept of repetition is described, the relationship between the phenomenon of repetition and human identity is showed, a philosophical and conceptual analysis of the work of S. Kierkegaard "Repetition" is given. In the second chapter «The repetition compulsion and the death drive» the psychoanalytic approach to repetition compulsion is described, the interpretation of repetition as the basis of a number of psychoanalytic concepts is given. In the third chapter «Repetition versus representation» a comparative analysis of the philosophical thought of Deleuze and Lacan is provided, the thesis of repetition as its own impossibility is explained, the general and different features of the philosophical and psychoanalytic understanding of repetition are showed.
