In our study we consider a special case of uberization of child care services – a babysitting service on the KidsOut platform. This platform is based on the principles of gig economy, where informal and unregulated conditions prevail, that creates certain risks for babysitters. The paper examines the motivation of babysitters to work on this platform, the risks faced by babysitters, and behavioral practices to reduce these risks. Attention is paid to the structure of the platform, the working conditions that babysitters set for parents, and the behavior of the platform organizers in conflict cases.
