The subject of the study is theoretical and practical aspects of the institute of settlement agreement in commercial proceedings. The issues of the nature of the institute of settlement and its essential features in connection with related institutions are considered. A significant part of the research is devoted to procedural consequences of the settlement agreement. The special attention is paid to the problem of the conflict of the agreement and court decision. The practical part of the research is devoted to the procedure of adoption of the settlement agreement by commercial courts in Russia. The procedures and the grounds for reviewing settlement agreements is analyzed.
