Witness immunity in Civil Procedure Law

In this paper there were investigated various definitions of privilege of witness institution, categories of witness immunity dependent on subject and scope. Besides the article includes further surveing the immunity of different individuals and varieties of privilege of witness. Also we revealed some problems in effective realization of this institution and suggested the ways of their elimination. In this framework was revealed the following conclusion. The key way to increase the effectiveness of the institution of witness immunity in civil procedural law is to expand the circle of people who will be subject to witness immunity, as well as eliminating legal conflicts, competition of norms contained in the Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation and federal laws and gaps in the legislation.
