This work is aimed at studying how the framing of the Syrian conflict occurs in the Russian regional media. There is a number of studies in the scientific discourse that study the informational support of unrest in Syria, which is explained by its specifics - a multilateral, multi-level protracted conflict creates a space for a varied interpretation of events and cause-effect relationships. Typically, such work focuses on the fact that the Western media demonize Russia's policy in the Middle East. However, of particular interest is how the events of conflict within the country are presented. During the study, a database of articles was collected. It was analyzed from the point of view of the prevailing semantic codes, which made it possible to identify how the Syrian conflict is framed and what are the similarities and differences of frames in the regions.
