The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of directions and age-specific features of interregional migration of the population in Russia in the 2000s - 2010s. The data source is statistics on current migration accounting for three time periods: 2009 and 2010, 2012 and 2013, 2016 and 2017. The main indicators used in the analysis include age-specific coefficients of the intensity of arrival and departure of interregional migrants, age-specific coefficients of migration growth (decrease) in the population, age-specific coefficients of migration turnover of the population, and coefficients of intensity of inter-district migration links (CIMS) for arrivals and departures. The work consists of three chapters, introduction, conclusion, list of references and applications. The first chapter describes the theoretical concepts of the life cycle in the context of population migration. In the second chapter, we study the main directions of interregional migration, their intensity, as well as the effect of distance on the intensity of inter-district migration links. The third chapter analyzes the age-related characteristics of migration, identifies groups of regions with the greatest attractiveness for migrants at one age or another.
