The Determinants of Rotation in the Gubernatorial Corps in Modern Russia

This study conducted a regression analysis of the stability of the heads of the Russian regions. The author found out that the presence of federal patronage and the absence of federal conflicts have the greatest impact on the political stability of governors. Socio-economic factors influence the stability of governors to a limited extent. The political stability of the governors is also enhanced by the electoral mobilization of the "party in power."
