Student: Lazarev Konstantin

Supervisor: Nikita Savin

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Advertising and Public Relations (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2020

This article aims to reveal which audience is on the Twitch platform. According to official statistics for 2016, 54.43% of the audience of this platform fall into the category of men in solvent age (from 18 to 49 years old). At the same time, there is no way to evaluate who and what people can use this platform in the Russian-speaking segment, so that they can use pseudonyms for communication and are not in their personal information profile (only if they are not bloggers). The study aims to form a portrait of the audience of streamers and their social qualities. The proposed research method will be twitch chat parsing, in order to create the necessary analytical database. The date will then be subject to content analysis using Python. The text will give a valuable information on how the platform is built and what opportunities the audience has on it. This article will be of great help to streamers who are interested in developing and exploring their community and advertisers who want to place their ads on the platform for a specific audience.
