In the text of the work there was examined the nature of the multimedia product as a protected object; identified the concept and features of the investigated object; conducted analysis of international approaches to the legal protection of the object of differentiation media objects from other results of intellectual activity; the circle of subjects entering into relations on the disposal of multimedia products has been determined, and their legal status has been studied. The master's dissertation includes an introduction, two chapters divided into several paragraphs (the first chapter is devoted to the legal nature, concept and characteristics of multimedia products, the second chapter contains a study on the features of subjects and protection of rights to multimedia products), conclusion and bibliography. Based on the research, the following conclusions were made. Although the multimedia product is not explicitly listed in article 1259 of the civil code of the Russian Federation, it is subject to copyright. An object can only be qualified as a multimedia product if it has a combination of three characteristics: complexity, virtuality, and interactivity. However, the absence of one of these attributes makes it impossible to qualify an object as a multimedia product. Individuals who can be recognized as authors of a multimedia product are identified: a screenwriter, an artist, a programmer, and a composer.
