Professional and Political Socialization of Soviet Teachers of 1950s

In this paper, we will analyze the professional and political preparation of the young soviet teachers. The topic of soviet school is studied sufficiently. But there is a lack of works devoted to the process of teacher’s preparation. This paper aims to identify the educational norms and practices, that formed soviet teacher. Departmental sources, periodicals, protocols of party meetings were used as the main historical sources. It allows reconstructing the ideal model of high school graduate and the path of professional and political socialization.
