Activities of the Interim Office of the Ministry of Justice (1892 –1905)

The purpose of the study is to analyze the activities of a special unit of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Empire – the Temporary Office to produce special criminal cases in the framework of criminal law enforcement regarding state crimes. The object of study - 1) unpublished archival sources from the fund of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Empire; 2) legal documents; 3) specialized periodicals. The subject of the study is the implementation by the structural units of the Provisional Office of work on criminal cases of an anti-state nature, the development of legal norms for their regulation. The structure of this work highlights the description of the main apparatus of the Ministry of Justice; analyzes the current criminal law in the study period; issues related to legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Justice and other ministries of the Russian Empire are considered; The main types of criminal law enforcement for special purposes are shown.
