Technologies and Methods for Modeling Passenger Transport by Sea

The advantage of ferry services is the reduction in travel distance compared to land transport, and therefore the modern sphere of passenger sea ferry transport is being updated. The main goal of this paper is to highlight the main technologies and modeling methods for passenger transportation by sea in order to identify possible shortcomings of route networks. The main goal of this paper was achieved through the practical implementation of matrix modeling, the result of which was the compilation of a pie chart of connections according to the intensity of the main ports of the Baltic region. Based on this, it is concluded that carrier companies need to model and study the market situation, assess the mutual influence of companies on each other and build strategic development aimed at modernizing the infrastructure of passenger terminals, solving the problems of routing traffic to increase the number of flights, developing new ferry routes . The paper consists of 72 pages, 30 figures and 18 tables and 51 sources were used.
