Construction of the Identity of Children's Camp Counselors on the Example of the Workers of the “Nit Ariadny” Program

This study integrates several types of identities and consider the Nit Ariadny counselor's identity as intersection of professional teacher identity and subcultural role-player identity. This identity is constructed in the constructed reality of the children's camp, where there are official, formal standards and corporate culture exist; however, at the same time the camp consists of informal practices and informal regulation. The identity of the counselor is at the intersection of different spheres, and several types of identity are formed at this intersection. The research question of this study is “How is Nit Ariadny counselor identity constructed?”.
