Educational Programme: Project Management: Project Analysis, Investments, Implementation Technology (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2020

The introduction of digital transformation is a large project that requires risk management and rational process planning. According to a Mckinsey study, only a third of change-related projects succeed. Therefore, it is necessary to identify factors that impede the successful implementation of the digital transformation project at the stages of project initiation and planning. Currently, many companies plan to implement a digital transformation project in the company. The pandemic has accelerated the translation of processes in the company into a digital format. Consequently, employee resistance to digital transformation has only intensified. In this work, a study was made of the factors of influence on the resistance of a digital transformation project. In addition, the digital transformation of companies during the pandemic was examined, as well as how effectively companies were able to implement it and transfer employees to a new mode of operation. There are recommendations to the heads of departments on improving the preparedness of employees for the digital transformation project in a pandemic and the transition to a new format of work.
