Production Processes Improvement in an Industrial Organization (the Case Study of NAO «Sveza Ust-Izhora»)

The final qualification work describes methods and tools for improving production processes in an industrial organization the case study of NAO "SVEZA Ust-Izhora". Improving the efficiency of production processes is a necessary element for a successful business since the effectiveness of the entire organization depends on the productivity of their work. Moreover, proper management of the production processes provides the company with one of the most significant competitive advantages, resulting in improved product quality, increased production volume, more efficient use of working time, reduced losses and increased profit of the organization. The purpose of the work is to justify the need to use of modern methods and tools to improve production activities the case study of the company NAO “SVEZA Ust-Izhora”. The object of the work is the production system in an industrial organizations (the case study of NAO “SVEZA Ust-Izhora”). The paper analyzes and compares modern production concepts of process management, such as lean production, quick response manufacturing and agile manufacturing. Based on their analysis, the concept of lean manufacturing, which is most suitable for the specifics of industrial organizations, was selected for further consideration. As a result, the paper describes the tools and methods of lean production which could be used to find "bottlenecks" and eliminate them and the advantages of their application. The analysis of operational and financial indicators of NAO “SVEZA Ust-Izhora” revealed losses and a" bottleneck " in the production system. Then, recommendations to eliminate the identified problems using the selected methods and tools of the lean production concept, namely the TPM system, the Ishikawa diagram, and standardized work, were made. The calculation of economic efficiency from the use of these tools and methods demonstrated the need to use them in practice, since this will not only lead to an increase in production capacity and output, but also, as a result, to an increase in profit and a decrease in the percentage of defects. Thus, the improvement of production processes for industrial organizations is an integral basis for successful activities.
