Business Process Optimization on a Manufacturing Enterprise in Production Planning Field

The presented work describes the exploration directed on logistics business process optimization in the manufacturing company from FMCG industry called "Unilever”. The work is focused on developing and identifying key drivers of competitive advantage on a market and solutions for achieving better results in operational field of the company to decrease costs through increasing inventory turnover, a decline in inventory level, etc. The exploration purpose is logistics business process optimization in the planning field. There are a lot of methods that are presented in the work: different economic-mathematical models, linear programming, business models, etc. The first chapter concerns the analysis of the production firms, especially their business processes which are connected with production planning, the second chapter is devoted to economic-mathematical models and their usage, the third chapter describes the main concept and description of the optimization model and its impact on the company.
