Reviews on Theatrical Performances in Russian: Analysis of Evaluative Vocabulary and Means of Expressing Emphasis

This paper is focused on the sentiment analysis of created text collection dedicated to reviews on theatrical performances in Russian. The sentiment analysis studies separately three corpora of this text collection: positive, negative and mixed. It covers sentiment research based on key sentiment lexicon and the most frequent bigrams and trigrams. Besides the sentiment analysis three corpora of text collection are compared to the aspect of means of expressing emphasis: punctuation, elongated words and uppercase words. The whole analysis is performed with the use of the "AntConc" program (Anthony 2020). The results show the variation in expressing sentiment and emphasis depending on sentiment class.
