In connection with the tendency towards an ageing population in the majority parts of the world, the issue of providing a comfortable life for older people is very acute. Thus, research on the topic of life satisfaction and happiness, as well as their influencing factors, will allow not only to analyse the situation with the life satisfaction and happiness levels, but also could propose the way that certain measures could improve the quality of life and life satisfaction for the elderly people in different countries. The study will answer the following research question: What factors of life satisfaction are influencing in comparison for the residents of European countries and are there differences in the influence of factors based on cross-country analysis? To answer the research question, the analysis of ESS Round 6 (European Social Survey) database from 2012 is conducted. The analysis is leading to the relevant conclusions.
