Student: Prokopev Egor

Educational Programme: Philology (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 10

Year of Graduation: 2020

In this paper I study the features of the «blockade» cycle by Gennadij Gor from the point of Trauma Studies: the poems are analyzed as a kind of particular statement about the «inexpressible» traumatic experience, overcoming the silence surrounding trauma, and actualizing the search for new poetry by dint of which Gor could reflect this experience. Due to same logic, the specific language of the «blockade» cycle is considered: agrammatic, violating the conventional norms of word usage — this language allowed the poet to verbalize the unspeakable blockade experience.
