This paper describes basic principles of design and development of an enterprise service bus. The various aspects and details of its implementation in the MIEM IT infrastructure are investigated. Special attention in the development is given to ensuring a high level of such important characteristics of a distributed system as availability, fault tolerance, scalability and security. The issue of testing and documenting the developed functionality is considered. As a clear practical example, the architecture was refactored and part of the existing system was transferred to interservice interaction via the integration bus. As a result of the work, effective integration of a pair of end microservices was achieved, for one-way synchronization of members of Google groups and Zulip channels in the institute’s domain. This work consists of a table of contents, an introduction, 3 chapters, a conclusion and an appendix. The work contains 2 tables, 19 images, literature list and 1 appendix.
