This graduation thesis is dedicated to the search and description of the substantive foundations of educational programs for parents raising children with cerebral palsy. Considering parental self-efficacy as a key goal of parent education, we offer research and consideration of perceived and normative learning needs as the main way to overcome the typical difficulties parents of children with cerebral palsy face daily and which impede the increase of their self-efficacy. This work is done in a quality paradigm. Based on the analysis of parental and expert semi-structured interviews, we offer a description of learning needs of parents that can be used in the design of educational programs for this target audience.
