The role of regions in the development and growth of the country's economy has undergone significant changes. Regions have become independent participants in economic processes, which contributes to the search for new approaches and methods for the development of the country, taking into account the regions. This work is devoted to the identification of traded industries in Russia. The definition of traded industries is necessary for the formation of regional policies and an understanding of structural changes. The study is conducted using the Harvard Business School methodology.
