Russian DeriNet: from Word Formation Dictionaries to Universal Derivations

The largest international derivational resource is called Universal Derivations. It features harmonised derivational networks of 11 Indo-European languages. Russian language is not yet represented in Universal Derivations. Our goal is to create a database of Russian derivational relations in the Universal Derivations format and to estimate how well the methods used for the languages presented in Universal Derivations function for Russian language. To create the database Logistic Regression and Decision Trees are used, as well as the Maximum Spanning Tree algorithm.
