Food Advertising for Children Affecting their Eating Habits

This research is conducted within an intersection of two fields: management and business responsibility. Children in Russia are negatively influenced by unhealthy food TV advertising and some children are even suffering from obesity. This research is aiming to show the problem from the insight, from the parents’ point of view and how parents are aiming to solve this problem within a family. Method of data collection for this research is conducting interviews among parents of children of the same age (9-11 years). The results of this research showed that the problem of negative influence exists in Russia, the significance of implementation limitations of TV advertising at the governmental level and increasing the responsibilities for children among parents. Moreover, this research is aiming to bring new knowledge to the existing literature in the field of food marketing targeting children.
