Backend for Marina Reservation System

The purpose of this paper is to consider the sphere of Nautical tourism, to analyze approaches of the modern server-side application development, and to describe the process of backend application development. The application allows users to search and book spots in marinas. The software solution is a part of a larger system, that consists of a separate web application and a server application written using the Java 11 language with a Spring Framework support and object-relational database system PostgreSQL. The result of this work is an application that is aimed at skippers, marina owners and managers, as well as system moderators. The current software solution opens an opportunity for users to search by a wide range of parameters, like boat size and marina location, to reserve and pay for the selected spot. Marina managers and owners can control the status of docking spots in marina, schedule spots booking, collect and analyze statistics such as revenue. Also, they can communicate with potential clients via text chat in the application. The work contains 69 - pages, 3 - chapters, 37 - images, 22 - sources.
