Information and Analytical Support of Integrated Supply Chain Planning in Manufacturing Company Using Simulation Modeling

This work stands on the middle ground between three developing trends: simulation modeling, integrated planning, and supply chain management. Purpose of this work is to improve planning process of the "ASG" Ltd. using simulation modeling to reduce out-of-stocks, improve service level and increase effectiveness of the supply chain. Objectives of this paper were: analyze economic and logistics activities of the target company, its’ S&OP cycle, study modern instruments of simulation modeling, research methodology of supply chain simulation models, development and implementation of the simulation model to probe executive decisions in the target company to provide technology-analytical support for the integrated planning of the supply chain, prove expediency and economic effectiveness of the decisions made. Results of this research are: analysis of logistics activities of the target company and finding its' problems, study of theoretical and methodological aspects of S&OP process, implementation of its' technology-analytical support with simulation modeling, economic analysis of the decisions made in accordance with the results of the simulation modeling scenarios which increased ROA of the target company by 2%.
