Improving a Commercial Company's Logistics Based on the Concept of "Internet of Things

The purpose of this final qualification work is to develop a set of measures based on the "Internet of things" concept to improve the company's logistics activities. The tasks of this work are as follows: 1) Explore the features of material flow management for a fashion industry company 2) Identify typical problems of logistics activities of fashion industry companies, as well as analyze the causes of their occurrence 3) Develop a system of measures to solve the identified problems based on the concept of " Internet of things» 4) Evaluate the economic impact of the proposed measures. Thus, the main object of the research will be the logistics activities of a fashion industry company, and the subject is improving the efficiency of logistics activities based on Internet of Things technologies. This paper demonstrates the economic efficiency and feasibility of implementing solutions based on the concept of "Internet of things" to solve problems in logistics and SCM for fashion industry companies. In addition, this approach was applied to the example of the Inditex. In the first Chapter, we made an analysis of the Inditex, a Spanish company that is the leader in the fashion retail industry. The second Chapter was devoted to the analysis of features of supply chain management of fashion industry companies, as well as features of fashion industry products. Typical problems of logistics activities and SCM in fashion industry companies were also identified. The final part of the second Chapter was the development of a system of measures to improve the logistics activities of fashion industry companies based on the concept of" Internet of things", applicable to the Inditex. The third Chapter was aimed at developing and comparative analysis of the proposed measures to improve the logistics activities of Inditex. The final part of the work was an evaluation of the economic efficiency of the proposed solutions.
