Formation of legal regulation of mergers and acquisitions in the Russian Federation has a specific history of development. For the integrated study of mergers and acquisitions in the Russian Federation to determine how developed the legal framework of sources governing the conclusion and execution of mergers and acquisitions. The paper analyzes the characteristics of the Russian market of mergers and acquisitions in terms of the country's ongoing process of redistribution of property. The main directions of trends and prospects of M&A and optimization of public policy for the protection of the rights of owners and their mechanism of redistribution.
