Factors Leading to Companies Bankruptcies

The paper aims to construct a bankruptcy prediction model based on Financial ratios known for the companies the year before failure. For this purpose relevant factors were investigated, previous studies were explored and described. The model were constructed and tested on pair-matched sample.. For testing the model database for french companies for the year 2007 where used. As a tool of analysis Logit model were used. Then the first model was developed by adding variables. Then the sample was changed. The obtained results is further discussed, with proposals of further analysis.
