Developing Soft-Skills in High School Students when Studying Topics in the Political Science Section

Abstract for Master's Work " Developing of flexible skills of high school students while studying the topics of "Politics" section". In this master's project the variant of practice-oriented course on developing of political literacy and flexible skills is offered. The implementation of the problem-based approach when using group forms of work during the project activities contributes to the formation of political functional literacy, which is one of the urgent tasks of the modern Russian education. With the help of sociological survey conducted among the students of 10-11 grades of one of the lyceums in Novosibirsk the need to discuss political issues in the course of learning activities with the use of active forms of work contributing to the formation of critical, creative thinking, communication and teamwork skills was revealed. The elective course "Applied Political Science" is aimed at making older adolescents more competent in political issues and forming their own position on the key problems of the modern Russian reality. Key words: political culture, political socialization, political literacy, functional political literacy, flexible skills.
