Animated Short Film the Dream

The aim of this was to define graphic techniques used by directors and creators of American animated films and series of period from the 2000s to the 2010s to visualize the flow of time. The work process included selecting the essential episodes of these animated films and series, analyzing them and revealing patterns. Then, the results were divided into 3 following categories: linear flow of time, sudden flow of time, flow of time through cutaway. This research helped author to get new knowledge in the field of animation and use it in her own cartoon.
