Legal Regulation of Personal Insurance of Professional and Amateur Athletes

In recent decades, sport have become more than just a hobby. Now sport is a profession, the main source of income for a large number of people. The specificity of sports activity is such that it cannot exist without injuries. Therefore, arises the question - how to protect athletes? How to keep athletes safe from serious sport injury or illness. This is why there is an institution of personal insurance of athletes. This article discusses the features of the institute of personal insurance professional athletes and amateur athletes, as well as major current problems of personal insurance competitors. In addition, the author of the work suggests possible ways to solve these problems both at the legislative level and in terms of the practical application of the rules on personal insurance of athletes.
