Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The work presents the concept of adaptative reuse of the cultural heritage object "The Moscow post office" based on the analysis of other cultural heritage objects of the late 19th - early 20th centuries (pre-revolutionary period). The analysis is carried out according to three methods of adaptation - reconstruction, restoration and preservation of the original appearance and purpose (status-quo). The most preferable way of working with the Moscow Post Office is revealed, and then a draft of the adaptation concept is developed. In this case, it is the so-called revalorization, which is intended to emphasize historical interiors and the contrasts of old style and modern design.
