In this paper, we analyze the literature, in which the factors that affect the demand for bicycles as an alternative and intermediate mode of transport are studied from different sides. An important observation in this area is the safety of cyclists and the gap between different social groups. Further, the experience of States that partially managed to solve these problems is considered. A model is also built that analyzes the weather, holidays, and working / non-working days. On working days, residents are more likely to use bicycles, as well as in the summer season, while humidity has a negative impact on the demand for cycling. Additional factors are discussed in the work.
