Identification of the Real Satisfaction Level of Taxi Drivers on the Yandex.Taxi Platform

The satisfaction of taxi drivers with the work with the ride-sharing platform is the key to ensuring a stable supply side if the platform. The growth of drivers' satisfaction level in the long term can positively affects their loyalty to the service and reduces their churn. The purpose of this work is to identify the real level of satisfaction of taxi drivers with the Yandex.Taxi, as well as identify factors that affect this level of satisfaction both positively and negatively. The results obtained can be used to form recommendations for the Yandex.Taxi, and for the other taxi platforms on the Russian market. The research was based on a survey of Yandex.Taxi drivers in Yaroslavl. Econometric modeling was used as a methodology. As a result of the study, it was found that the drivers of Yandex.Taxi in our sample on average are not satisfied with the service. The most significant factors, that influence on the level of drivers' satisfaction, were found. These factors are "self-employment" and "work-time balance". The results obtained can be used primarily by Yandex.Taxi to increase the loyalty of the drivers to the service and prevent their churn. Moreover, this study can be helpful for the other taxi aggregators inn Russian market in order to find out the general patterns and characteristics applicable to the taxi aggregator market as a whole.
