Nowadays, Russian literature market is going through a lot. The aim of this study is to identify the main factors of demand for contemporary literature in Russia and estimate their influence. The research estimates the impact of such groups of factors as the physical and non-physical characteristics of books, the characteristics of the author, the activities of the publishing house, the reaction of readers to books and adaptations of works on demand for paper books.
