Pixel art was an inseparable part of video games from the moment of their creation. Now pixel art is the most characteristic visual style that represents the medium of video games. Despite the fact, that pixel art was created because of the technical restrictions of the corresponding time period, over the past fifteen years, it regained great popularity amongst independent developers.
