The study of the nuclear conflicts remains as one of the most important in the International Relations, as such conflicts can cause enormous consequences. In this paper Russia - US nucear relations are analyzed. Also it discusses the importance of various concepts of international security and their explanation of the absence of nuclear strikes. This paper is topical because states have not still reached a total nuclear disarmament and the threat of nuclear conflicts remains till present time.
