The Evolution of the US Sanction Policy Against Russia since 2014

The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the issue of sanctions as a determinant of Russia-American relations. The paper's central focus is the analysis of transatlantic sanctions policy evolution vis-à-vis Russia from 2014 to 2020. The first part is divided into two topics. Firstly, it provides theoretical reasons for U.S. sanctions on Russia. Secondly, it reveals the dynamic character of sanction as a phenomenon of international relation during the last 50-60 years. The second part is devoted to research and explaining possible changes in American restrictive measures towards Russia, comparing the period of Barack Obama and Donald Trump presidencies.
